Autism/AudHD/ADHD

Affirming, Empowering, Consent-Based Care

I am passionate about supporting Neurodivergent people (including self-diagnosed, exploring Neurodivergence), to build a life that is based on self-knowledge, self-acceptance, creating systems of ND affirming support for daily life, and de-constructing internalized ableism that is self-limiting. I work with folks in burnout to find more sustainable ways of living.

Your Neurodivergence is an Important Part of  You!

And That's Okay!

Your Neurodivergence is as fundamental to you, as your height, the colour of your skin, the size of your feet. It cannot be separated from you. Even the parts you have not yet reconciled, the things that bring you discomfort are fundamental to your being. My goal is to foster an inclusive, affirming practice that supports your existence as a Neurodivergent person.

Burnout

Gentleness

All people are vulnerable to burnout. For Neurodivergent people though, the constant need to balance the needs and comfort of those around us, the need to mask and the exhausting ordeal of working within a world framework not meant for us can lead to burnout that is catastrophic. I work with clients to attempt to find a more balanced approach to life's challenges. Part of this process is to discern when it's safe to drop the mask, how to get more rest, and lessen demands to achieve a more balanced life, that is less likely to contribute to periods of profound burnout.

Weird is Wonderful

You and your special interests matter!

Our special interests create joy, fulfillment and contentment in lives that can be filled with the chaos of living in a Neurotypical world. Our special interests can provide us with connection, provide predictability, create structure and connect us with joy.

You Have a Right To Your Unique Existence

Come As You Are

Unique ways of thinking, including pattern recognition, a need for routine and executive function challenges, are often fundamental pieces to Neurodivergence. I will hold space for you, and for all the pieces that make you... you. Part of the work we can do together, is to work together to figure out what supports matter most to you. What do you want to work on?
